Gratzzi Italian Grille: Authentic Italian Cuisine in Saint Petersburg, FL

Four of us came for dinner. Our first time at Gratzzi Italian Grille. The restaurant is quaint and crowded. We had reservations and were seated immediately. Our friends decided we should start with the Cavatelli Bada Bing entree as a shareable appetizer. It is prepared table-side. Whatch out for the flame! Everything about this is entirely phenomenal. The padana parmesan, vodka sauce, and Cavatelli, created a creamy masterpiece of a flavorful meal. Bravo! For my entree I ordered the Rigatonnaci Alla Vodka. Another perfect blend of flavors. I am not one for spicy food and was happy the sausage mild. The pancetta added a nice savory touch. The vodka sauce was just the right amount and consistency. A winner for me. DH ordered the Pappardelle Alfredo with Chicken. Another chart topping mix of flavors. Just looking at the plate you know you're in for a great experience. Chicken was seasoned exceptionally well and perfectly cooked. Pasta was just right too. Everything about it was delicious. Our friends both ordered the Chicken Parmigiana. Both were extremely pleased saying the chicken was juicy and tender. This is their favorite meal. This just might be our go to Italian restaurant.

From beginning to end, excellent. Our server Steven, excellent, atmospher, excellent, duck, veal so well prepared, excellent. Very enjoyable, glad we went and will be back.

Food was excellent. Server was fantastic. A bit of a wait for the meal but well worth it!! European style seating so loud snd back to back. Had the chicken piccata… delicious!

One of my new favorites! My husband and I celebrated my birthday here on Sunday night. Our server Tommy was attentive, patient and made great recommendations. The salmon carpaccio was a perfect appetizer. Both of our pastas were delicious & the tiramisu is the best I’ve ever had. Thank you for a great experience! Can’t wait to bring back friends & family!

Amazing spot in downtown St. Pete! Definitely a must on my list whenever I pass through. The Bada Bing pasta is top tier and I haven't had a bite of anything on their menu yet that didn't exceed expectations. Been about 6 or 7 times now and definitely think anyone looking for excellent Italian food in the area that wants a great vibe and service to match needs to check it out.. Rated 5 stars, because 20 wasn't an option..

Fantastic dinner after our sunset cruise! Started with an excellent espresso martini — dark, no cream, absolute perfection. We then enjoyed a wonderful meal beginning with a comforting Italian wedding soup. For the main course, I had the spinach ravioli with shrimp, scallops, and mushrooms in a rich, delicious cream sauce — beautifully prepared and full of flavor. A special touch is that the head chef here is the brother of Chef Carmelo Mangiafico from Carmelo’s in Punta Gorda, and you can truly taste that same level of care and quality in every dish. A perfect way to end an already amazing evening — highly recommend!

We got the calamari to start off with, and I would recommend it for those that like fried appetizers. The sauces that came with it were marinara and some sort of butter and red pepper sauce. Me personally, I didn’t really find it to my liking since they made a twist to the marinara sauce. For our entrees we got the cast iron ribeye and the spezzatino italiano which is risotto with braised pork. Highly recommend they go easy with the salt because ours was really salty. That was the only part that I didn’t enjoy. For the ribeye, it was salty as well and it did come with a tomato paste sauce so if you don’t want that I would ask for a substitution. The veggies seem a little undercooked so for those that like to bite into something soft I would ask them to cook them for longer than usual. Service was great though and environment was lively.
